LA STRANGE - 31/10/2007

The lake of La Strange is situated in the village of Hompré, a part of the municipality of Vaux-Sur-Sûre. There are ample signs once you've reached the village.

The fish on the lake are very combative and healthy. There are some very nice specimen among them!

We went for an afternoon flyfishing and experienced a nice evening leap. During the first hours of the afternoon there wasn't a lot of action on the lake. From about 4 o'clock in the afternoon the fish really started to rise. In about an hour we caught 8 beautiful fish, fishing with a little green and black fly. 

We heard stories about the lake being very busy but when we went there, there were only 3 other flyfishermen. 

Anyway, the lake is a real hotspot for any flyfisherman searching for an afternoon of fun.
